The mission of the International Collegiate Dragon Boat Federation (ICDBF)
is to promote the sport of dragon boat by bringing together the
 international community of college-student athlete teams
in the spirit of sportsmanship and excellence.

The ICDBF will seek to establish and maintain an environment that values
cultural diversity in an apolitical environment.

It will foster communication between student-athletes from different countries,
emphasizing the educational value of good example and respect
for universal fundamental ethical principles.

The ICDBF does not hold allegiance to any particular
 government, nation, or corporate entity.

Student-athletes must be full-time undergraduate/graduate students.
